I am Mayur B. Gund, a passionate Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) student at Sanjivani College of Engineering.

This blog, Mayur's Tech Journey, is my digital living room. It is a raw, unfiltered space where I document my transition from a small village to the fast-paced universe of software development. I don't just write code here—I build in public, share my failures, celebrate late-night breakthroughs, and map out exactly what it takes to evolve as a modern software engineer.

📖 My Backstory: The Fuel Behind the Code

My journey into tech wasn't handed to me; it was forged through effort. On June 16th at 12:07 AM, my life changed when my MHT-CET results lit up the screen at a 99.079 percentile. I chose a path different from the typical Tier-1 route to entering Sanjivani COE with a deep sense of responsibility and a lot to prove.

I brought that same discipline into engineering, securing a 9.6 SGPA in my first semester. I am a firm believer that academics and practical coding don’t fight each other—they feed each other.


🛠️ My Tech Stack & What I Build

I specialize in building functional, real-world software solutions. I transitioned from terminal-based scripts (CLI tools) to full-stack web architectures. My current technical focus includes:

  • Languages: Python, JavaScript, C, C++

  • Web Frameworks: Flask, Streamlit

  • Databases & Tools: SQLite, Git/GitHub (Collaborative Feature Branching)

  • AI Integration: Google Gemini API, External REST APIs

Featured Projects:

  • ScholarDesk: A full-stack academic productivity web app built with Flask and SQLite, featuring an AI study assistant named Saathi. It currently hosts real, active student users.

  • SAFARNAMA: A smart travel-planning application powered by Streamlit and Geopy that dynamically generates PDF itineraries.

  • Crop Disease Detection: A project built under the intense 48-hour pressure of my very first hackathon with team BugHunters.

🚀 Back on Track: Powering Up After Exams!

Hello and welcome back to Mayur's Tech Journey! It’s been a little over a month since my last post, and while I’ve been absent from the blog, I've been anything but idle in my learning. The past few weeks were a whirlwind of exams, but now that they're done, I'm thrilled to dive back into sharing my experiences with you. As a first-year B.Tech CSE student, this journey is all about constant learning and growth, and I have a bunch of exciting updates and technical breakthroughs to share.
