Hello readers,
I am Mayur Gund, a first-year Computer Science & Engineering student at Sanjivani College of Engineering. Welcome back to Mayur’s Tech Journey 🚀
📝 Shift to Weekly Blogging :
In my first week, I was posting blogs daily. But due to a busy college schedule, I realized it’s not always possible to write every day. So, I’ve decided to post weekly updates instead of daily. This way, I can share more complete progress and reflections at once.
🖥️ Programs of the Week :
This week, I practiced multiple C programs:
1)Switch Case Program – Gave fun facts for numbers 1–5.
2)Exam Eligibility Checker – Checked marks & percentage to determine eligibility.
3)Income Tax Calculator – Calculated tax based on income slabslabs.
4)Leap Year Checker – Verified leap years with input validation.
5)Uppercase/Lowercase Identifier – Detected whether a character is uppercase, lowercase, or invalid.
6)Greatest of Four Numbers – Compared four values to find the maximum.
🔗 GitHub Progress :
✅ Uploaded my programs using Git Bash.
✅ Learned the workflow of add → commit → push.
✅ Currently have around 10 programs on GitHub 📂.
Tomorrow, I’ll upload the remaining 4 programs that I coded using cloud IDEs. Exploring cloud IDEs was a great experience — they allowed me to code even without a personal PC.
📌 Key Learnings :
>Switch case vs if-else and when to use them.
>Logical operators in real-life problems (eligibility, tax slabs).
>Character handling with C library functions.
>Using cloud IDEs for flexibility.
>Growing comfort with Git & GitHub for version control.
💡 Reflections :
This week wasn’t perfect — I couldn’t post blogs daily and missed a few coding days. But I came back, stayed consistent, and managed to code multiple meaningful programs.
👉 Consistency is not about coding every single day, but about always returning and continuing the journey.
🎯 Next Week’s Goals :
-Upload the remaining programs to GitHub.
-Solve more problems from “Let Us C” and HackerRank.
-Strengthen logic building with new problem types.
✨ Slowly, my GitHub is turning into a portfolio of my growth, and my weekly blogs will continue to reflect my journey.
