π Day 9–10 – Exploring GitHub, HackerRank & “Let Us C”
Hello readers,
I am Mayur Gund, a first-year Computer Science & Engineering student at Sanjivani College of Engineering. Through Mayur’s Tech Journey, I share my daily progress in coding and reflections on what I learn along the way.
π Git & GitHub Progress
Over the last two days, I focused on learning Git and Git Bash.
-
Successfully committed and uploaded two C programs to my GitHub repository π.
-
Learned how developers use Git to manage and track code.
-
This felt like a big step forward — from just writing programs to actually maintaining them like real projects.
π HackerRank Achievement
Another small but proud milestone π
π I earned my first star in C language on HackerRank.
It may look small, but for me, it shows the start of solving problems consistently. Every star represents practice, persistence, and progress.
π New Resource: Let Us C
I also came across the famous book “Let Us C” by Yashwant Kanetkar and downloaded the softcopy. I’ve started reading it alongside my coding practice.
-
This will help me strengthen my fundamentals.
-
The book also has exercises that I plan to try in my upcoming coding days.
π‘ Reflection
These two days may not have had much coding, but they gave me new tools and new motivation:
-
GitHub made me feel like a real developer.
-
HackerRank motivated me with my first star ⭐.
-
Let Us C reminded me to balance theory + practice.
Excited to continue this journey, combining problem-solving, coding practice, and reading to build strong foundations in C.
✨ Consistency isn’t always about writing code daily — it’s about staying connected to learning every single day.
